Metin2 US Adds New NPCs, Quests, Black Horse, Red Chests

News Of Metin2 US

Recently added to Metin2 USMetin2 US are a trio of new NPCs, bringing with them a few new quests, which in turn can give a few new rewards to US Players.

NPCs
Three new NPCs can now be found in each nation's first town. These are the Archaeologist Sir Arthur, and two Homeless Beggars.

Talking to these characters exposes a number of options. Sir Arthur will offer any player a "Fig" item for free, just for the trouble of coming to talk to him. He will also set you a quest to drop barley bread, which become droppable from all monsters, similar to moonlight boxes. It is these barley bread items that the Homeless Beggar NPC is hungry for.

Quests
The first quest revolves around the barley bread drops, and after collecting enough, Sir Arthur will offer two paths for players to choose from:

The red chest is apparently similar to Gameforge's Mysterious Chest, and as such the following items should be found inside:

Concentrated Reading
Reinforce Item
Blacksmith Handbook
Dragon Scroll
Blessing Marble
Blessing Scroll
Critical Hit
Stone Handbook
Dragon God Defence
Dragon God Life
Book Of The Leader

With this first quest being repeatable, players should get busy farming some bread!

The second quest revolves around the Fig items. Players can exchange figs for a limited time riding a new Black Military horse:

The horse bears a striking resemblance to a guild leader's military horse, only with some slightly altered textures. Depending on the amount of figs traded, the horse will last for different, likely disappointing amounts of time:

22+ = Black Horse (3 Hours)
19-21 = Black Horse (2 Hours)
9-18 = Black Horse (1 Hours)
4-8 = Black Horse (30 Mins)

This reflects similar disappointment with Metin2 USMetin2 US' White Lion. Whereas Gameforge's White Lion lasts for 30 hours, the Metin2 US White Lion lasts a mere 30 minutes. Players may trade in their Figs for a short ride of the Black Horse from August 24th to the 31st.
